1. Icebreaker: If your entire life was a movie, what title would best fit?

2. Pope Francis in a sermon on Sunday: “We will not find the Lord unless we truly accept the marginalized! Truly the Gospel of the marginalized is where our credibility is at stake, where it is found, and where it is revealed.” What does he mean by this? Do you agree with him? Discuss.

3. Should Christians have a perspective on the Keystone XL Pipeline? What would such a perspective be based on? Is there room for a diversity of views on something like this? What might other traditions or religions have to say?

4. Some say Christians can disagree on side issues, but not on “salvation issues.” What does that mean? What is a “salvation issue”?

5. Fifty Shades of Grey had the second-best February opening weekend ever, second only to the Passion of the Christ. Have you seen the movie or read the book? Why or why not?  What makes the story of 50 Shades of Grey different than the erotic stories found in the bible? What concerns you, if anything, about a story like this? 6. Anselm of Canterbury: “The will of God should be a good enough reason for us when he does anything, even though we cannot see why he wills it. For the will of God is never irrational.” Can we question God’s actions? Or should we, with Anselm, take them on faith that they are happening “for a good reason”?

Since I consume both of these beverages in large quantities, it was nice to see what I've gotten myself into! Thought I would share this essential knowledge with all of you. Enjoy.
